There were 70 members and industry friends that headed to downtown Cleveland to watch the Cleveland Guardians take on the Houston Astros. It was an exciting time for Guardian fans, as they cheered on their first place team. Attendees had a great view from their club seats in a reserved section of the park. A summer night of baseball in Cleveland continues to draw a large group to this event every year. It has become a fan favorite. Continuing on into late summer, the NCFA hosted its annual SCREW OPEN GOLF OUTING at Valleaire Golf Club in Hinckley, OH. This much anticipated event is the biggest fundraiser for NCFA Scholarships, which are given away each year. Golfers always en-joy some friendly, light hearted competition with members and industry friends. This year multiple teams walked away with prizes. G.L Huyett won the scramble format event in a tightly contested battle with the team from INxSQL Software. Ultimately Team Huyett birdied the most difficult handicap to win the tiebreaker. All golfers enjoyed various skill shot competitions for prizes throughout the day. Donnie Kirkwood and Dan Jiram took home the Longest ASSOCIATION ARTICLE Drive competitions, while Jackie Ventura and Dan Finucan each took home a prize for sticking their shots Closest to the Pin. Dewey Oxner unleashed his driver on a marshmallow to win the Longest Marshmallow Drive. Team BoltsandNuts.com took home the coveted case of beer along with the FTR ballcap. Kim Arnold & Krista Osborne from Brighton-Best, along with MWFA board member Tabitha Herbst, kept the teams well hydrated throughout the event. Gia Ehret from Beacon ran the Marshmallow Drive contest. The SCREW OPEN GOLF OUTING has been a long stand-ing event for the NCFA, made possible by the continued support of members, sponsors, industry friends and volunteers. The NCFA wrapped up the year with its annual HOLIDAY BASH on December 1st. Back by popular demand, it was held again at Top Golf in Independence, OH. With a great mix of golfers, non-golfers, friends, and family in attendance., there was plenty of club swinging, laughter, and cheer . Morgan Rudolph of Rudolph and Associates won a gift card provided by our sponsor AFC Industries. Dan Harriger from GL Huyett was the winner of the Brighton-Best International Visa gift card. The Top Golf Swag Bag was won by Charlie Kerr from Kerr Lakeside. CONTINUED ON PAGE 132
